Workshop/Panel: Making, Knowing, Learning

These panelists’ pedagogical practices and scholarly research examine the intersection of education, creation, and curation. Collectively, the focus of their work spans centuries. They use making as a form of critical inquiry in historical and contemporary contexts and explore the broader environmental impact of the artifacts we make and those we discard. This discussion will critically examine the life cycle of objects in the past and present, and explore the benefits of centering making, artifacts, and curation in the liberal arts classroom.
