The Department of History is committed to the highest professional standards with regard to integrity and originality of research.

The AHA’s Statement of Standards of Professional Conduct (updated 2019) covers areas such as standards for historical inquiry, research (mis)conduct, hiring practices, and other areas related to professional standards. The Department and the University work together to uphold these standards vigorously.
