Professor Isabel Hull of Cornell University will deliver the departmental S.T. Lee lecture at 6pm on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Professor Hull is a distinguished historian of Germany, warfare, and international law; her two most recent books are “Absolute Destruction: Military Culture and the Practices of War in Imperial Germany” (2006) and “A Scrap of Paper: Breaking and Making International Law during the Great War” (2014). She will have a session to discuss her work for graduate students the following day (Friday).
