Franklin Odo was a founder of the field of Asian American studies in 1971. He was Visiting Professor at Columbia from 1995 to 1997; Principal Investigator of a project of history and memory of Japanese Americans on the east coast for Columbia’s Center for Oral History, and edited the Columbia Documentary History of the Asian American Experience (2004).
Franklin Odo, a giant in the field of Asian American studies passed away last week. Odo was a founder of the field of Asian American studies in 1971.
