Jasmine studies the socioreligious history of medieval Europe, primarily late medieval Italy and France. She is mostly interested in the illuminated manuscripts and codices produced from the thirteenth century to the sixteenth century, especially the Books of hours. In addition, she seeks to discover socioreligious connections and communications between the medieval Latin Christendom and the Far East, including China and Japan, in her works.
Jasmine earned her BA in Late Antique & Medieval Studies (LAMS) from Pomona College in Claremont, California.
