Jay Pan works on the history of Latin America. His research mainly focuses on Mexico and includes themes such as illicit and informal economies, state and non-state forms of violence and justice, anarchism, race and kinship. He is also interested in the political and intellectual histories of anthropology and history in Latin America. He was previously educated at the London School of Economics (LSE) where he completed his BA in History and MSc in Economic History (Research).
