Jay Pan is a PhD candidate in Latin American History. His research focuses on the historical political economy of Mexico in the twentieth century, particularly the relationship between businesses, the labor movement and the state.
He also studies the relationship between licit and illicit economies in Mexico and the history of economic thought in Latin America.
He was previously educated at the London School of Economics (LSE) where he completed his BA in History and MSc in Economic History (Research).
