Suhail Gharaibeh is a doctoral student in Modern European history at Columbia, where he studies France and its empire in the 19th and 20th centuries. Grounded in urban history, his research focuses on antisemitism in the colonies of Third Republic and Vichy France.
Suhail holds a Master of History and Social Sciences from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (2024), an M.A. in History and Literature from Columbia (2023), and a B.A. in History from New York University (2022). He is a published poet and essayist.
