Frith, Eric

Eric Frith is a doctoral candidate in Latin American history. He studies the history of political and economic thought in the Atlantic and the emergence of the economy as a distinct field of knowledge. His dissertation examines the developing language of political economy in Mexico in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, particularly the ways that property, sovereignty, commerce, virtue, and citizenship were reimagined. He also is interested in religion in the modern world, the history of suicide, the philosophy of history, and historical epistemology.

Eric grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He earned his BA from Baylor University, his MA from Old Dominion, and his MPhil from Columbia. He lives and teaches in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
