Barrett, Jake

Jake Barrett (he/him) is a PhD student studying nineteenth-century Brazilian history, especially the politics of slavery and abolition. He is also interested in Latin American exile networks, state formation, and Brazilian social movements. Before coming to Columbia, he worked as a musician and music educator.
