Yigal Shalom Nizri (University of Toronto): “Appropriate to Sacrifice It on the Altar of Print”: The Evolution of a Printed Canon in the Jewish Moroccan Diaspora, 1860-1918

We will gather after 5:00 pm, and the talk will begin at 5:30pm sharp. Dinner will follow the talk at 7:00pm in Faculty House. If you would like to join us for dinner, you must make reservations by contacting the seminar’s rapporteur Deborah Shulevitz, (dgs2016@columbia.edu), as soon as possible. Dinner is a fixed menu buffet, which costs $25 per person, payable by check made out to “Columbia University.”
