Gracie Anderson is a PhD student in United States history, researching queer activism, coalition-building, and politics in the 20th century. In previous projects, Gracie has explored anti-gay efforts (and queer activist responses) to overturn non-discrimination protections for gays and lesbians in Seattle and Tacoma, WA, the beginnings of queer activism in Hartford, CT, and the relationships between the city, the police, and anti-rape activists in 1970s New York City.
Gracie attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA for a BA and received an MA in History from Yale University in 2023. Gracie is a Provost Diversity Fellow.
