French Minister of State for European Affairs, Harlem Désir, and participants of the roundtable will discuss the recent attacks in Paris and their larger context in Europe, including security threats and the European response, anti-Semitism in Europe, and Islam in Europe.
Within the French government, Harlem Désir is the cabinet member in charge of European issues. He is the former leader of the French Socialist Party and the founder of “SOS Racisme,” an anti-racism organization.
