Event Details

The presenter will be Nguyen Vu Linh, a visiting Ph.D. student from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). The paper (attached below) is titled, “Polish 1968. From Disenchanted to Rebellious Habitus.” and talk about a contested icon of the Polish political opposition in the communist era, Jacek Kuroń in the context of Polish student protests and the anti-Semitic campaign of 1968 and the subsequent emigration of the Polish Jews. It is part of a larger Ph.D. project about the relationship between political dissidence and history of affects in postwar Poland.
