Pablo Piccato’s A History of Infamy: Crime, Truth and Justice in Mexico received the María Elena Martínez Prize in Mexican History for “the book or article judged to be the most significant work on the history of Mexico published during the previous year.” The prize is given by The Conference on Latin American History.

The book also received an honorable mention for the Marysa Navarro Best Book Prize from the New England Council of Latin American Studies.
