Justine Meberg is a PhD candidate in 19th century U.S. history. Within that field, her research interests are the roles of women in conflicts during the antebellum period. Her advisor is Professor Stephanie McCurry.
Justine is a Captain in the U.S. Army, where she continues to serve on active duty. She received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2009, and has served as a platoon leader in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Prior to beginning doctoral studies, she served two years as a company commander.
