Zachary Levine is a fourth-year doctoral student in the department of history, focusing on modern French history, intellectual history, and the history of science. He is particularly interested in the history of the brain and mind sciences, psychoanalysis, and models of the self. He is currently working on a dissertation project on case studies in neurology, psychiatry, and psychology, provisionally titled “The Illuminating Case: The Case Study Method in the Fin-de-Siècle French Brain and Mind Sciences.”
